LINDSAY MUIR

Graphic Designer

SODEXO

I began as a design intern for Sodexo through the SUNY New Paltz Dining Services. I worked with the unit marketing coordinator and  a small team of student marketing interns to create faculty and student resources, establish brand and identity systems for upcoming food establishments and produce promotional marketing materials for both print and digital media.

Once I graduated, I became a freelance designer for the New Paltz Sodexo team, continuing to design logos and create large-scale typographic collages.

BRANDING: ELEMENT 93 CAFE

I was asked to develop a logo for the new cafe inside of the renovated science building on the New Paltz campus. Neptunium is the 93rd element with the symbol Np, which is how the name for the cafe was created. It is a radioactive metal, and its liquid form inspired the organic shapes of the final logo. This cafe is expected to open in Spring 2016.

BRANDING: THE ROOST CAFE AT RIDGEVIEW

I was asked to develop a logo for the deli-style cafe inside of Ridgeview Hall, the newest SUNY New Paltz dormitory with spectacular views of the Shawangunk Ridge. The name "The Roost" was inspired by the school's nickname "The Hawks" and the overlook location of the dorm. This cafe opened in Fall 2015.
